So, my cousin, Jill got married to a wonderful man named James this weekend. It was a beautiful wedding, but WHEW! Here it goes:

Denny and I flew to Pensicola, Florida on Friday. We ran around like lunatics because we didn't realize that we would o back an hour. We purchased champagne glasses for her and James and Denny dropped me off at the spa to get everything set up. Jill got there early and we had a nice time with her, her mom, my mom and aunt Hill showed up with Ali (her daughter) and finally aunt Donna and Ashley. We really took over the spa and a good time was had by all. Jill loved her gifts (including a boy short set that said "you may now kiss the bride.")

We ran out of there a little after 4 and got ready for the rehursal at church. We did the whole practice thing and then had dinner a Landrys. The food was good and we sat and just had a great time. We got to meet and get to know James' family as well. They are a blast!! We got back and met up with everyone for drinks at the hotel, Then off to bed for an early wake up call.

I was up at 8 to be ready for 9am. I went with Jill, her mom to get my hair done. Many showed up later. We were supposed to have a make up appointment at 1230 but we got out of the hair dresser late because she did someone else's hair in between. We ran to the mall to get our make up done at MAC. Well, he said he didn't have enough time and all he could do was Jill and her mom's make up. Mandy and I had to run around to find someone to do our make up. I ended up at Elizabeth Arden and Mandy went to Channel. Jill's mom did not like her make up and Jill was ok with her's but liked the other make up better.

We RUSHED back to the hotel to get dressed. I JUMPED into my dress and ran over to help Jill. Wanna talk about drama. The had a major blowout and Jill was not dressed and her mom said she wasn't going. I helped Jill get dressed. Got her mom going and we got to the wedding.

The wedding itself was loverly and the only incident there was that Jill got woozy and had to sit down. Then there were TONS of pictures. The reception was great. We had a nice time, danced all night, had  a few drinks...unfortunately, my camera died and I lost all my pictures, including skydiving. I was devastated because we had great pictures on there. so, now, I'm out of luck. I have to rely on everyone else. I do have a few pics though (look out below).

Now we are home. I had pre-op today and got my handicapped parking. I'm nervous about surgery tomorrow and have to be at the hospital at 630am. wish me luck!!

Since I will be taking part in my cousin's wedding this weekend and will not have time to post, I will honor her wedding with my 13

1. try on my maid of honor dress again 2. decide on which silver shoes to wear 3. find a pair of flats for the reception (no way am I prancing around in heals with a fractured ankle!!) 4. review my toast/speech 5. get Denny a new shirt and tie 6. fly to Florida 7. get champagne 8. go to the spa with 10-12 people for the batchelorette party 9. rehearsal dinner 10. go for a girls night out with the bride the night before the wedding 11. get hair and make up done with the bride 12. pictures pictures pictures 13. party at the wedding!!

Sadly, vacation is over. Denny's family came last week along with friend Zo and his girlfriend. As always, we had a great time. Denny jumped out of a plane again (I'm still jealous) with his brother in law, cousin, and friend. I had to watch on the ground. We had fun with the kids and got to finally meet Myles, who is 8 weeks old. We spent a lot of time on the beach, hanging out on the porch, avoiding palmetto bugs (I still call them roaches!) and drinking.
We also took the dogs to the beach for the first time where the actually went into the water. Poor Kate over wagged her tail and she strained it (only my dog). I included some pictures below of our fun. Now we just need to wait until next summer for more family fun!!

So, it is Wednesday and I am just trying to get through the week. I cant wait until the weekend. I still have to go to court on Friday morning.

Work is taking its toll on me. I cant wait to finish school so I can get out. I made a decision, for now, to go for education and minor or double major in Anthropology. The only reason is I would need to go for my masters in Anthropology and there is no place to go for that in Wilmington. At the very least, I would be able to double major and spend my summers digging in dirt :) I think that would be a good mix of doing both things that I want to do. That and at least Wilmington has a Masters program for education.

I am also counting down for my busy July. Starting July 4th, I am off of work for a bit. I think I may work a total of 7 days in July. Which works for me. I just am so not happy with that place. The politics and rudeness that comes from the "leadership" has only taught me that it is not the place for me to work. Within the last 6 months, I have been threatened by 2 sups. If I could find a way out now, I would.

Ok, I know, enough whining. On a happy note, I have plenty of time to read. Denny is making Macs & Cheese and my dogs are being good for a change....prob cuz denny is home.

It was a great day for the beach. Denny was sitting on the beach while I was playing in the ocean.

So, things have been busy. I found out that I will be having surgery on my ankle. I am a little nervous about it. Especially since I will be on crutches for 5 weeks and a walking boot for 5 weeks. Adding to that, I will be gimping when school starts...I'm trying to look long term about this. I hope that it works out.

I also got my new phone this week. Now, I have a Blackberry Curve. It is awesome! I'm still getting used to it. Unfortunately, I had to change my email address. Which may be the most annoying thing since now I have to figure out what is getting sent to my old account and forward it to my new account. I also have to save the pictures that were sent to the old account. All this because my email address did not work on my blackberry.

Other than that, it is late. I'm now used to my schedule working until 11pm. It is not that bad, but I miss seeing Denny. I feel like I dont get to see him anymore. I also miss having dinner, real dinner. With 30 mins to pound down some dinner, it is hard to eat good stuff...and I'm picky about left overs. I'll have to learn to live and start making a good lunch.
